As a brand we weren't happy with that so we have sourced amazing natural toothpastes which DO stop decay, Gutology uses a coconut based foaming agent which does not strip your oral microbiome called glycolipid, and it contains lactobacillus to help support your oral and gut microbiomes. 

Fluoride vs mineral vs (drumroll) Hydroxyapatite:

• The aim of any of these ingredients is to remineralise your saliva which helps protect your teeth, like a reinforcement. However, fluoride comes with a set of nasty side effects like messing with your brain and fertility. (read our blog here for more info)
• Hydroxyapatite is a form of calcium which actually occurs naturally in our teeth, it inhibits decay and stimulates bone growth. It's a super ingredient we should all be switching to for our oral health.
• A lot of the non-fluoride alternatives/mineral toothpastes do not contain any remineralising ingredients, meaning they are not actively helping to prevent tooth decay.
